Lee Penfold Journalism

About

A NCTJ trained journalist, I began my career in local news, working for the Dover Express newspaper. I went on to work for KentLive on the MyDover site as a multimedia reporter.

I started freelancing in 2023 and have bylines with titles such as Little White Lies, Men’s Fitness and Metro online, writing on a range of topics such as film, health and fitness, arts and culture and food and drink.

As a freelancer, I enjoy covering a diverse range of subjects. However, I am still committed to reporting on the people and places around me in Kent, writing for cene magazine and the Canterbury Courier.

I continue to develop my skills as a writer and have completed a copywriting course with journalism.co.uk. I also have experience of working in marketing and communications for several years.

You can contact me for: commissions, news shifts, copywriting, editing, content creation and communications.
